Votivo is the Soy Candle with a Reputation for Luxury

In today’s world when almost everything is mass-produced in a factory, Votivo candles stand out. Of course, it takes more than hand pouring to make a candle as well known as the Votivo brand name has become. It requires a superior product, which keys into what people find attractive at that time. Each generation has their own push and while many pushed toward the future, today is generation is future and technology minded but reaching to the past for holistic remedies, and high quality luxury items.

Votivo candles certainly qualify as luxurious items. Each candle is hand poured and made of soy rather than paraffin. Soy burns cleanly wont soot up the sides of the candleholder and holds the wonderful Votivo candle scents perfectly. Votivo candles were first marketed in 1994 and the high quality candles soon gained a certain following among those who feel luxury and ambience are essential for a home.

However once they gained the endorsement of Oprah Winfrey, they began to grow in popularity at an amazing rate. As in most products she recommends, Votivo candles are outstanding in both purity and in scent. Once a Votivo candle is lit, it takes just a few minutes for the delightful scent to permeate the entire room and while wonderful, the scent of a Votivo candle can be overpowering to those with very sensitive noses.

While these candles are most definitely luxury items since their quality also will make them somewhat more expensive than factory produced candles they certainly can set the tone for a room or a home and provide a beautiful and luxurious background. It goes without saying that a Votivo candle lit while taking a bubble bath is probably the height of luxury to many an overworked or stressed career woman.

While Votivo candles do provide light, it is certainty you would not want to use them for preparing that term paper, polishing the thesis or just doing the math homework for the day, no matter how relaxing the scent might be. In addition, it is probable that when filling out such important papers as tax returns, US immigration forms, or studying for the US citizenship exam for the USCIS, that the Votivo candle would not be the ideal light source.

It is also important to remember that Votivo candle scents are very strong, use in a tiny room may cause them to be overpowering and though they provide the ideal ambience for a romantic candle light dinner, the delightful scents could war with the food and probably win. It might be wiser to avoid using them for these purposes.

On the other hand, there are many uses for which the Votivo candle is ideal and the primary one is pure self-indulgence. A Votivo candle and a good book, a box of chocolates, a scented hot bubble bath, or a romantic evening by the fire, can be the ultimate indulgence, which (except for the chocolates) is not fattening at all.
