Functionality is another factor of an online business that you need to focus on with a candle retail e-store.  If people cannot click on the shopping cart to make their purchase, you are the one losing money because they can find an online store that works.  All links on each web page needs to be fully functional.  The first error message or broken link a user comes to will cause them to go to another online store.  Things like the custom packing solutions and options offered to shoppers need to work properly.  Functionality also includes the depth of your site and how easy the store it to maneuver through.  The shopper needs to know exactly where they are at all times in the store and how to get back to the home page or to other pages easily.  If it is difficult to click through, he or she will get frustrated and go to another store.

Marketing and advertising techniques can be done on the web much cheaper than traditional methods of advertising like billboards and newspapers.  Marketing on the web can be performed by the type of content you have on your web pages, by writing articles about the votivo candles you offer and offering tips to shoppers, and by sending out email advertisements.  Some retail stores online like to provide monthly or weekly newsletters for shoppers too.  If you can build a list of frequent shoppers, a newsletter is a successful technique that is beneficial to increase revenues when you offer specials and sales on a frequent basis.
